Final Thoughts on Tiger King

Hey there all you cool cats and kittens! 🐅🐆🐈🐯🦁🐱😅😂

We finished Tiger King the other day, so I wanted to offer my final thoughts and conclusions:

-Joe was framed by Jeff Lowe and Allen Glover for the murder-for-hire bullshit; both of those men deserve to be in jail.

-Carol in all likelihood killed her first husband, and the investigation into all that was completely botched.

-Joe burned down his own studio to get back at Kirkman and destroy evidence and film.

-All 3 main folks in the show have a cult of personality following, especially Doc Antle and Carol; Joe less so, but I can still see it. Doc has a harem.

-All 3 of them treat/treated their employees like shit by overworking them and giving them shit wages.

-All 3 of them have a DSM5 mental health disorder. Without having a full assessment, it is hard to know which ones, but I think there’s potential for Borderline Personality Disorder, Narcissistic Personality Disorder, or one of the Bi-Polar Disorders. It’s clearly there, and all 3 of them should be in treatment for mental health problems. Really the whole fucking cast should be.

-I don’t think Joe is guilty of animal abuse. Now, I’m opposed to zoos and aquariums, however, there’s room in the discussion, I believe, to disagree that simply having zoos or aquariums means we’re abusing animals. I know some the fact that zoos exist means we are. I don’t necessarily believe that. I think there are kind and caring animal places like that out there. Joe may have killed some tigers, but farmers kill animals left and right. His doing so doesn’t necessarily mean it was abuse. Vets do it. Farmers do it. Pet owners do it. I sincerely believe he loves and cares for the animals as do Doc and Carol. This is probably the most controversial thing I’ve said about the show: having zoos or aquariums doesn’t = animal abuse; I saw this as a person who thinks they shouldn’t exist and doesn’t particularly care for them.

-I don’t think watching the show means you’re contributing to animal abuse; that is absurd and ridiculous.

-I think Carol is essentially guilty of doing the exact same things she accuses Doc and Joe of doing.

-I think PETA is a terrorist organization ran by folks with a cult following as well. I think they do more harm than good.

-I think Joe should serve a few years in prison, but not 22. Jeff and Allen deserve more than that.

-Reinke, Saff, and Dial are my favorites.

-People like the main 3 should NEVER run or be associated with politics or anything political.

-The general public and “Average Joe,” pardon the pun, should not be allowed to have large cats, so I’m inclined to support The Big Cat Act, but that it shouldn’t necessarily shut down zoos. There should be regulation and oversight from the government for all private places like what Joe, Doc, and Carol have going on.

Overall, it was a wild and crazy show filled with some disturbing, funny, sad, scary shit. It was entertaining, but deeply troubling on many accounts. I’m sad for everyone involved in it and how it ended for Joe, who shouldn’t be the only one in jail.

I hope they all get the help they need and can have better lives than what they had throughout the show.
